This project was an exercise in expanding a company's existing product line. Based on research of the Adidas brand, I chose to design a set of fashionable headphones that could work in both active and casual settings.

Aesthetics & Materials

The design was centred around a sleek, modern look, taking inspiration from high-performing materials and Adidas' brand colours. I modelled my design using SolidWorks and chose "perfect" materials that suited sports use cases.

Polycarbonate & carbon fibre are tough, durable materials, perfect for taking a couple of hits.

Silicon, specifically the foamed variety, provides a comfortable, skin-safe material.

5052 Aluminium is used in cargo ships and containers for liquid due to its excellent corrosion resistance against water and salt.

Fused Yarn (Primeknit) is a manufacturing method used by Adidas to reduce the number of separate parts that go into making their shoes. The material, fused yarn, is widely used in the industry.
